DAY 2 Friday Dec. 17, 2021 9:00 A.M. I woke up late this morning regretting spending it in the bed with my wife. Not words I ever thought I would hear myself say or think. 9:01 A.M. After reading a few texts from some male colleagues I realized I was probably the only one not self-isolating from their wife. That changes NOW. Teachers gathered in the staff room to be told that until they heard otherwise that a "normal" return to school was expected as long as they felt "asymptomatic". The original email from NLESD suggested if we were deemed a close contact Eastern Health would be contacting us by 3:00 P.M. otherwise school would be open for in-class instruction as usual on Friday and we to report in. 2:23 P.M. (12/16/21) While in our staff meeting we...
